vsmlite is the active minimal implementation profile of the VSM methodology. It narrows the problem to its smallest useful mechanism: one parent organization forms, hosts, supervises, and gradually matures a single child VSM.
The parent temporarily supplies the viability functions the child does not yet own — coordination, control, audit, intelligence, policy. Responsibility transfers as evidence accumulates, until the child operates autonomously inside an explicit boundary.
Why it comes first
A general organizational factory would require compilers, registries, type systems, and migration tooling before the smallest lifecycle is validated. vsmlite tests the central thesis directly: one lineage, inspectable state, evidence-based autonomy, reversible graduation.
Meaning of autonomy
Autonomy is not isolation. A child is autonomous when it preserves its mission and viability within an agreed boundary using its own complete S1–S5 structure — while remaining recursively nested and policy-aligned.

Neutral by design
The platform compares vsmlite-built organizations, manually authored systems, and non-VSM baselines without assuming any methodology is correct. Evidence flows back as transition selection.
Current state
Prototype and platform-design stage. Existing orchestration, sandbox, and trace components are inputs — not proof of one integrated deployment.
